B R I T I S H A R M Y 2 0 0 9 & T E L E M A R K - W O R L C U P Also in this season the British Army holds their British
Championships in Telemark here in Rauris.
As ski-school we are not only involved in the organisation,
but we also provide several telemark-instructors for
the British Army.
And this year for the first time there will also be held 2
Telemark-Worldcup-Races here in Rauris, with approx.
70 competitors from 12 nations.

T E L E M A R K - C H A M P I O N S H I P S O F T H E B R I T I S H A R M Y 2 0 0 8 The Telemark-Championships of the British Army in Rauris were a big success.
From january 5th to 15th about 70 soldiers of the British Army were in Rauris to learn the Telemark-technique or improve it. They found the perfect conditions for that in Rauris. At the end of their stay they had 3 competitions (Telemark Sprint Classic, Telemark GS, Telemark Classic GS), where both, Telemark-beginners as well as Telemark-professionals showed great performances.
On saturday evening there was a demontration of the Telemark-technique from the British Army and ski-instructors of the Ski-school Karl Maier.
At a small gathering in the Rauriserhof the general of the British Army thanked everyone for the great support, especially the lift-company (Rauriser Hochalmbahnen), the tourist-office, the ski-club, Sport Egger and the Ski-school Karl Maier.
And he promised to be back in Rauris for the Telemark-Championships of the British Army next year.

S K I - I N S T R U C T O R S I N P E E R ( B E L G I E N ) Petra, Mario and Harry from our ski-school visited Peer in Belgien from the 9.-12. Nov. 2007. Together with some ski-schools from Pinzgau and the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern they showed a ski-demonstration in the indoor-ski-slope in Peer in Belgien.
